Heifer named Miss Universe
A heifer has been named Miss Universe by the organisers of the annual beauty pageant.
The three-year-old cow, who was crowned on Monday (November 6), is said to have won the title due to her 'magnificent curves and beautiful face'.
pageant director Pablo Llambías said: "Miss Universe is not just a beauty contest, it's a cattle show. And our heifer won because she has the most beautiful body and the prettiest face."
Llambías also praised the animal for its intelligence, saying: "She knows how to pose for the cameras and walk down a runway."
The Miss Universe title was created in 1949, but this is the first time that a cow has been crowned champion.
Heifer sells for $1 million
An Iowa farmer has set a new state record for the price of a heifer when he sold one for $1 million. The farmer, who wished to remain anonymous, said he was happy with the sale and that the buyer was a "good friend."
The previous state record was set in 2009 when a cow sold for $930,000. The high prices being paid for cattle are due to several factors, including the limited supply of beef worldwide and the increasing demand for beef in countries like China and India.
This trend is not expected to change any time soon, so farmers who have high-quality beef cattle should consider selling them while they still can get top dollar.
Heifer caught in adultery
A heifer was caught in adultery and brought before the Pharisees. They wanted to know what to do with her.
Jesus said, "Let her go and sin no more."
The Pharisees were outraged. They wanted to stone her.
But Jesus said, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first."
And no one could find the stones to kill her with.
Heifer wins best actress award
Heifer, the seven year old Golden Retriever, has been crowned best actress at this year's prestigious Dog Acting Awards. The win comes as a surprise to many, as Heifer is better known for her comedic roles in family films such as Homeward Bound and Beethoven rather than her dramatic work. In a tearful acceptance speech, Heifer dedicated the award to her late mother and thanked her father for "always being there for me".
Heifer first began acting at the age of four, making her debut in a commercial for Pedigree dog food. Since then, she has gone on to star in over thirty films and television shows, including a leading role in the 2017 drama A Dog's Purpose. Her performance in that film was praised by critics, with one describing her as "the heart and soul of the movie".
When asked about her success, Heifer said that she loved working with animals and found it easy to connect with them on screen. "I just think about what my character would do in any given situation and try to put myself in their shoes", she said.
Heifer is already a well-known name in the dog world but this latest accolade is sure to cement her place as one of Hollywood's brightest stars. Congratulations Heifer – we can't wait to see what you do next!
